Our Vision
The Governor (c.1884) is the older brother of The Exchange (c.1886).
We like to say he is our "Gentleman of The Rotunda", protecting our business owners and their employees as they take the next step in business: to grow, to expand, to think, and most importantly, to be seen.
Our vision remains to this day, that 10 years from now, you will walk down the main street and say “I grew my business there, and that made all the difference”.

The Governor, by The Exchange.
The Governor was built in 1884 by the Australian Joint Stock Bank and quickly became a major landmark as an outstanding example of late nineteenth-century architecture and for many years it was the tallest building in Dubbo. The site was constructed with sandstone quarried from the banks of the Macquarie River. In 1849, Dubbo was planned with streets parallel to the Macquarie River named after the Governors of NSW in order of their appointment.
Our Operations: The Governor will provide x4 retail shop fronts and a suite of x6 offices, just a stepping stone from The Exchange in Dubbo, 200m down Macquarie street. We are seconds from Dubbo’s best cafes, shopping and dining (did someone say high-end Italian and The Establishment Bar!?).
Our Rejuvenation: Over the next 3-years, you will see a significant rejuvenation of the building and an ongoing dialogue with the community about the importance of this gentle giant.

The Governor offers a suite of six offices catering for a team of more than two. The building is a big brother to The Exchange Clocktower, watching over our tenants as they grow their business and number of employees. The Governor is here for when our tenants expand and change.
The Exchange will continue to be a full-service coworking, private office, meeting room and event space and tenants at The Governor will have access to use The Exchange included in their lease.
The site was selected for its prime position in the centre of town and the ability to pop down to The Exchange Clocktower to access the many meeting rooms, workshops and networking events, or simply have coffee and a conversation on the lounge - all included in a new lease at The Governor.
